Top 20 Stainless Steel Long Product Producers

In the long products market segment, the mostly unknown Chinese producer Tsingshan is volume-wise by far the biggest producer in the world. Based on revenues, the No. 1 position is still taken by the Schmolz + Bickenbach Group, which ranks No. 2 based on volume terms. No.3 is Taiwan’s Walsin Lihwa Group which maintains 3 plants in China and Taiwan. The fast growing Indian producer Viraj is already bigger in output than most European mills.

There is no U.S. based mill big enough to make it into this 2012 ranking anymore.
